fuboTV adds national FOX feed in 8 markets
fuboTV added a national FOX feed in eight new markets this week, including Nashville and San Antonio.
The new channels mark the latest expansion that fuboTV has been rolling out since June, when the company announced raising another $55 million in fundraising.
fuboTV has now increased its FOX household coverage to 75% across 91 markets. That includes all top 20 markets.
Among the top 50 markets, fuboTV is now bringing FOX to 44 of them. The 8 new markets are Baltimore, Buffalo, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Columbus, OH and Green Bay, WI. FOX content is also available to fuboTV subscribers via video on demand, or by signing into FOX NOW or FOX Sports GO using fuboTV login and password.
To date, fuboTV carries 101 local TV stations including those owned and operated by or affiliated with CBS, FOX or NBC.
The company launched its expanded “Fubo Premier” entry-level bundle in April 2017 with a line-up of 55-plus channels, including 31 that feature sports content. The Premier bundle now boasts 75+ channels.
fuboTV’s broader channel lineup includes more Regional Sports Networks
The broader channel lineup now has more local channels and regional sports networks, including MSG and MSG+ in the New York metro area and all of New York State. In Boston, Red Sox and Bruins fans learned last month that New England Sports Network (NESN) will be added to their channel lineup in the near future.
In August, local CBS stations were added in 27 markets, including Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
The expansion of FOX will allow subscribers in the 8 new markets to stream national FOX programming including primetime shows and sports coverage.
These particular national feeds won’t carry local news and other programming in those markets. fuboTV has gained most traction with international soccer fans who follow tournaments and leagues that play across the globe.
Earlier this year, a pricing dispute between Sony’s PlayStation Vue and beIN Sports resulted in fuboTV becoming only one of two live TV platforms to carry the network. Sling TV also carries beIN Sports.
