How to Watch Laff Without Cable

Laff TV, known as Laff Media, LLC, is a United States digital multicast television network specializing in comedy. 

Launched by Katz Broadcasting on April 15, 2015, Laff TV was strategically introduced to the public on Tax Day in the U.S. Its launch program, “My Mom’s New Boyfriend,” marked the beginning of a new destination for comedy enthusiasts.

This network is a part of the Laff Television Network family, and offers a unique blend of classic and modern comedy shows for all who love funny people and great laughs. On weekends, you can find three to four comedy movies.

What’s on Laff?

The Laff broadcast channel and its free streaming channel, Laff More, features sitcoms from the 1980s to the 2020s. 

Laff TV’s programming is accessible to over 91.3% of U.S. households. 

The network’s diverse programming includes current favorites such as “Everybody Hates Chris,” “According to Jim” and “That ’70s Show,” along with classics like “The Drew Carey Show.”

But one of my favorites, “The Bernie Mac Show” is no longer on the network. 

How to Watch Laff TV free with a TV antenna

A TV antenna offers a simple, cost-free method to enjoy Laff TV. This option brings Laff’s content to your screen in up to 480i picture resolution. The advantage of using a TV antenna is that you don’t ever need an internet connection. 

Depending on your reception and location, you may also get the four major broadcasters, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX. PBS and sub-channels such as MeTV, Comet and Grit are over-the-air as well. 

Where to find the Laff More Channel

Laff More, a FAST channel launched in July 2023, is accessible through various streaming devices like Roku, Firestick, and Apple TV. This channel extends Laff’s comedy offerings, ensuring your comedy fix is just a few clicks away.

FAST channels, including Laff More, provide free, ad-supported content accessible on various devices including iOS and Android. These channels are akin to a modern-day equivalent of shortwave radio but in video form.

You can use a variety of Smart TVs and streaming devices like Roku, Firestick and Apple TV to start streaming Laff More. You can add most of these FAST services in a few quick steps by downloading the app from your app store. Much like Smart TVs and your over-the-air networks, these FAST services provide Closed Captions as well.

Freevee (Previously IMDb TV)

Freevee, previously known as IMDb TV, is an ad-supported streaming service owned by Amazon. It offers a wide range of content, including movies, TV shows, and original series. One notable feature of this service is its offering of more than 150 FAST channels that you can stream.

LG Channels

LG Channels is included with LG smart TVs, providing a variety of free streaming channels. The built-in FAST service has more than 150 news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle channels.

Plex

Plex offers more than 300 free, ad-supported streaming channels. This service includes both live and on-demand movies and TV shows covering news, sports and niche interests.

Tablo TV

The new Tablo 4th generation over-the-air DVR integrates free broadcast channels from your antenna, and more than 40 FAST channels into a single menu.

XUMO Play

XUMO Play has more than 300 free, ad-supported channels. The service includes a massive range of genres similar to Pluto, including Westerns, Home & Design, Classic TV and Comedy. The on-demand side of the platform has a diverse lineup of movies.  

Sling TV

Sling TV offers Laff as part of a subscription, and you need to add the Entertainment Extra bundle. That’s why I am mentioning it last. You can add Entertainment Extra to the Orange or Blue plan for a total of $46 per month.

• The Orange plan includes approximately 31 channels, featuring ESPN, TNT, and HGTV.
• The Blue plan offers 41 channels, including NFL Network, TNT, and TBS.

For an extra $6 per month, the Entertainment Extra bundle includes 11 additional channels, such as Paramount Network, MTV, LAFF, and truTV. Subscribers get 50 hours of Cloud DVR with any subscription.

The Sling TV app is compatible with LG and Samsung Smart TVs. Additionally, you can access the Sling TV app on devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV. It is also available for live TV streaming on iPhone, iPad, Android tablets, and smartphones.

If you’re looking for an affordable way to access Laff and some sports channels, the Orange plan from Sling TV is an excellent choice. It has ESPN and ESPN2. But if you don’t need sports networks, you should stick to free options such as a TV antenna or XUMO Play.

Streaming Laff TV app

Laff TV’s free video app is available for download on multiple devices, including iOS devices, Android.  But I recently tested out these options, and they didn’t seem to work well. I had trouble finding the Android app. So I would skip this option, especially since Xumo Play.

Watching Laff FAQs

Is there a LAFF TV app?

There is a Laff TV app for Android and iOS, but I think there are much better options by watching Laff More through XUMO Play, LG Channels, Plex and Freevee.

Is LAFF available on Pluto TV? 

No, the Laff More channel is not currently on Pluto TV, but that could change because the service regularly adds new channels.

Can I watch Laff live on the Laff website?

No. You will find a video player on the Laff website. But after watching it for a while, I realized that it only has promotional content on the shows that are airing on Laff.
