What is Dark Winds about?

In 1971, Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn of the Tribal Police and his new deputy Jim Chee are grappling with a series of seemingly unrelated crimes.

There is a lot that can go unexplained in the remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley. But soon, the two investigators must solve a double murder in their jurisdiction.

For Leaphorn, the investigation begins to expose the wounds of his past. Chee is out to settle old scores from his youth on the reservation. Together, the two come face to face with forces of evil that are difficult to understand, and challenge their own spiritual beliefs.

To solve the murders, each man must deal with their own personal demons and while hoping for some kind of salvation.

The show is based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series by Tony Hillerman, and it has been praised for its authenticity and its portrayal of Native American culture.

McClarnon and Gordon are both excellent in their roles, and they have great chemistry together. The supporting cast is also strong, with actors like Noah Emmerich, Jessica Matten, and Deanna Allison.

Dark Winds is a well-made and suspenseful mystery series that is sure to please fans of crime dramas.
