How to stream Bally Sports Midwest on Roku, Smart TVs, Fire TV and Apple TV
If you’re aiming to cut the cord from cable TV, you can still watch St. Louis Cardinals games. The network also has rights to the St. Louis Blues.
DIRECTV STREAM includes Bally Sports Midwest in the Choice channel bundle.
The Choice plan, which carries 90+ channels, is $89.99 per month.
But you should consider whether the pros of signing up for DIRECTV STREAM versus cable or satellite outweigh its cons.
Compared to other live TV streaming services, DIRECTV STREAM is on the higher-priced side of the spectrum.
Subscriptions are billed month to month so you have no long term contract or commitment. There are no hidden regional sports fees.
Subscribers can get three months of HBO Max, Cinemax, Showtime and EPIX for free before the regular rate kicks in.
You can sign up for a free 5-day trial with DIRECTV STREAM, and cancel online before the trial ends if you don’t want to keep the service.
Channel lineup
Subscribers in the Midwest get a wide variety of sports channels including ESPN, ESPN2, and Big Ten Network.
All of your local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Telemundo and Univision channels are included. And you get top cable TV channels such as TNT, History, CNN and A&E.
The Choice plan includes unlimited Cloud DVR to record live TV shows and sporting events. There are more than 40,000 on-demand movies and TV episodes.
You can watch live TV on up to 20 screens at once. And you don’t need to pay for a cable box.
Subscribers can use a Smart TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku, Apple TV and Google Chromecast with Google TV. You can look over the channel lineup before making any decisions.
Can I watch St. Louis Cardinals games on the Bally Sports app?
To watch live games, you need to activate the Bally Sports app using a TV provider. You can use a DIRECTV STREAM subscription, or a local cable provider such as Xfinity.
You can watch game and programming highlights on the Bally Sports app without signing in to the Bally Sports app.
Why can’t I stream Bally Sports Midwest on Hulu or YouTube TV?
There was a time when regional Bally Sports channels — under the FOX Sports brand — were available on a number of live TV streaming services. That included Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, fuboTV and YouTube TV.
These streaming services have yet to strike a long-term agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group since the company took ownership of 21 regional Fox Sports networks in 2019.
Sinclair has announced plans to launch its own direct-to-consumer Bally Sports streaming service in 2022. But it currently does not have streaming rights to all the teams it plans for the service.

I have HuluLive and last year I was able to watch the Cardinals. Not so this year. Is there any headway being made on an agreement so I can watch them this year, if not I’m afraid I’ll have to cancel.
Fox Sports MW has created what I would consider an illegal monopoly for Direct TV and ATT. This is not what I could call a good business move for Fox but its a great deal for ATT and Direct TV. I’m certain that the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals aren’t happy about this either. I am going to contact the FCC and my Congressman to see if this monopoly can be dissolved.
I live between St.louis and Kansas city, so FSM should be a local channel for us. Now unless I want to pay 84 a month, I can’t watch the Blues or the Cardinals
shame on FoxSportsMidwest for only broadcasting on ATT TV.
YouTube TV just dropped Fox Sports Midwest for my area (central Illinois). It was my reason for choosing them. Back to square one!
With virtually identical channel lists, why is Hulu+Live TV with 65 channels @ $55/month a better deal than YouTube TV with 70 channels @ $50/ month?
My answer is highly subjective — my needs won’t necessarily be yours. But I think Hulu with Live TV is a better deal overall because you’re also getting Hulu’s on-demand service included. That has Hulu Originals and new episodes from a number of major channels the day after they air. I use Hulu a lot to catch up on prior seasons of shows, and for new episodes of favorite shows.
If that doesn’t provide much value for you, then you should go with YouTube TV. It’s a solid service, and I expect they’ll work out a deal with Sinclair to keep FOX Sports. I hope that helps.
Does anyone know if YouTube offers Fox Sports Go in their viewing package? We would like to watch St Louis Cardinal baseball. Live in Memphis TN and it is blacked out via MLB streaming. We used the PlayVue last season and watched the games on Fox Sports Go….PlayVue is gone now. I am comparing Hulu and YouTube. Not interested in cable as we don’t watch tv much….just want to watch Cardinal baseball! I will eventually get a free trial for each.
All the techies and smartie pants will tell you to drop ATT Satellite and watch the Cardinals on YouTube TV or Another cheaper streaming service…they don’t know that unless you live in the Midwest you can’t get Fox Sports Midwest on these services!! These internet streaming companies are just like cable companies when it comes to regional sports channels.
I have a similar problem as those above. I live in west Tennessee about 350 miles from Atlanta, but only 285 to St. Louis. This is CARDINALS territory. ATT and others say I am in Atlanta territory. Screw the Brafes. Cardinals beat last Octorer too. But so far the only way I can get Fox Sports Midwest is through Direct, and my bill is currently more than $160 per month. Outrageous. Dish is in contract dispute with FSM so Dish is not an option. And ATT, Hulu and others will not let me get FSM. This is all such bull (you know what).
The flaw in all the above commentary is that unless you live in the “St. Louis area,” you can’t stream Fox Sports Midwest at all. You will only have access to the “local” fox sports affiliate.
In my case I live closer to Kansas City than St. Louis, so the above services only make Fox Sports Kansas City available to stream…. meanwhile I am still in the St. Louis blackout area, so I can’t stream from mlb.tv either since it is always blacked out. The same holds true for the Blues as I am likewise in their blackout region under the NHL blackout rules as well.
The bottom line for me then is that unless I use a satellite or cable provider (which I have decided to decline with my costs soaring over $160.00/mo), I literally have no access to the teams I wish to watch.
John,
Cancel DISH and go with just streaming service. You’ll pay less than what you’re paying now and be able to watch games.
ALL THE STREAMING SERVICES ARE DROPPING them. I think Att streaming still does but not sure.
The problem is my internet is only 15 mg because of where I live.
I am already paying Dish 78 dollars a month.
Why do I want to add 40-50 dollars a month.
Is there a way to stream Fox Sports Midwest for maybe 5 dollars a month?
Is my internet speed sufficient?
