NBA Games Today: TV Schedule, Channels & Time

Here is a list of today’s NBA games, and how you can watch them.

This roundup has updated TV schedules and a breakdown of which teams appear on national and regional sports networks. You don’t need a cable subscription to watch regular-season games.

You can find regional sports networks and popular cable TV channels that carry games for your favorite NBA team on a number of streaming services:

  • DIRECTV STREAM
  • Sling TV
  • YouTube TV
  • Hulu Live TV
  • fubo
  • NBA League Pass

What channel can I watch the NBA Game on tonight?

Regular season NBA games are broadcast live on a number of networks, including ESPN, TNT, NBA TV, TBS and regional sports networks such as Bally Sports or NBC Sports.

You may also live in an area where ROOT Sports Northwest or AT&T regionals are key channels for watching your home NBA team. All out-of-market games can be streamed on NBA League Pass.

DIRECTV STREAM currently has the most comprehensive coverage for NBA games with regional Bally Sports, and NBC Sports and AT&T SportsNet networks. The Choice package has 105 channels, including ESPN, TNT, TBS and local channels.

The service has a 5-day free trial for its Choice package.

  • 8:00 PM ET: Charlotte Hornets vs. New Orleans Pelicans (NBA League Pass, Bally Sports Southeast & North)
  • 10:30 PM ET: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers (NBA TV, Bally Sports Oklahoma & SoCal)

NBA games today (Friday, March 24):

  • 7:00 PM ET: Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers (NBA TV, Bally Sports Indiana, NBC Sports Boston)
  • 7:00 PM ET: San Antonio Spurs vs. Washington Wizards (NBA League Pass, Bally Sports Southwest, NBC Sports Washington)

Important 2022-23 NBA dates

There are a number of other key dates already set for the 2022-2023 NBA season.

NBA Play-In Tournament begins April 11, 2023 until April 14. Games will likely follow last year with TNT airing games on Tuesday and ESPN on Wednesday. Both channels had a single game on Friday.

2023 NBA Playoffs starts Saturday, April 16, 2023. TNT has the Eastern Conference Finals this season. ESPN and ABC will broadcast the Western Conference Finals.

2023 NBA Finals will air on ABC beginning on June 1, 2023

The NBA Draft for 2023 has not yet been set. Likewise, the NBA Summer League has yet to announce its dates, but typically airs on ESPN and NBA TV.

Where to Watch NBA games today

There are plenty of ways for NBA fans to watch today’s game without cable TV. It doesn’t matter if you’re following the defending champion Golden State Warriors, need better Utah Jazz coverage or track every move LeBron James is making with the Lakers.

Here is a breakdown of live TV services that have channels that air live NBA games.

DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM probably has the most comprehensive coverage among live TV streaming services when it comes to watching live NBA games.

TNT, TBS, ESPN, ESPN2, and NBA TV are part of the Choice package along with regional Bally Sports, NBC Sports, ROOT Sports, and AT&T SportsNet networks. You can look over the regional sports networks in your area.

The Choice plan includes all your local broadcast channels such as ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX.

Subscribers get more than 105 channels, unlimited Cloud DVR storage to record games. You also get 40,000 on-demand movies and shows. Subscribers can watch live TV channels on up to 20 screens at once.

Subscribers can add a three month free trial of HBO Max, Cinemax, Showtime, STARZ, and EPIX for free before the monthly rates kick in.  

You can sign up for a free 5-day trial without any obligations. 

The Choice plan usually costs $89.99 per month. But DIRECTV STREAM is currently knocking $10 off for the first five months of service. 

So you only pay $79.99 per month during the promotional period. There are no contracts. You can subscribe month to month and cancel whenever you want. 

DIRECTV STREAM works on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Smart TVs running on Android TV and Google TV. 

Sling TV

Sling TV is a decent budget pick for NBA fans who only need a small number of channels during basketball season. 

The Sling Orange plan has 34 channels, including ESPN, TNT and TBS for $35 per month. 

The Sports Extra bundle adds 15 channels, including NBA TV and ESPNU for $11 per month. Sling Orange subscribers can watch live TV on one screen at a time. Sling does not have any regional sports networks, but it is the cheapest live TV service that offers ESPN.

Sling Blue includes FS1 and Stadium and local NBC and FOX stations for $35 per month. The Blue plan lets you watch live TV on three screens at once. Sling TV is currently offering a discount of half off for your first month. There are no contracts, or extra fees like cable TV. You can start watching NBA games live with a Roku, Fire TV, Smart TVs, Google Chromecast and smartphones. 

YouTube TV

YouTube TV has more than 85 live TV channels, including TNT, TBS, NBA TV and ESPN.

A subscription to the base plan costs $72.99 per month, and includes unlimited Cloud DVR.

You can watch live TV on three screens at once. YouTube TV doesn’t have Bally Sports and YES Network, but does carry regional NBC Sports networks and SportsNet NY. YouTube TV does give you the option of adding NBA League Pass ($14.99/mo) for an entire season.

YouTube TV has apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Smart TVs powered by Android TV and Google TV.

Hulu Live TV

Hulu Live TV offers a solid alternative for watching live NBA games without cable TV. A subscription to just Hulu Live TV has over 75 live TV channels. ESPN, ESPN2, TBS and TNT.

Local NBC, CBS, FOX and ABC stations are available in most of the U.S. Subscribers get unlimited Cloud DVR. You can watch live TV on two screens at once. A subscription costs $69.99 per month. 

ESPN Plus is now also included with a Hulu Live TV subscription.

ESPN Plus also carries the PGA Tour, UFC Fights, daily MLB and NHL games. Soccer leagues such as La Liga and MLS are on ESPN Plus as well. Subscribers also get Hulu’s full on-demand catalog and Disney+. 

Hulu Live does have regional NBC Sports networks, but lacks other regional sports networks such as Bally Sports, AT&T SportsNet and ROOT Sports. It is also missing NBA TV. 

You look over which sports channels are included in the lineup before making any decisions. There is currently no free trial for Hulu Live TV.

fubo

fubo (formerly fuboTV) has more than 152 channels, including ESPN and NBA TV. Local ABC stations are also carries by fubo in most of the U.S. But fubo currently does not have TNT or TBS.

Altitude Sports, AT&T SportsNet, MSG, regional NBC Sports, ROOT Sports Northwest and SportsNet NY are available on fuboTV.

You can look over the fuboTV channel lineup to see which local channels are available in your area.Subscribers can watch live TV on up to 10 screens at once. You get 1,000 hours of Cloud DVR.fuboTV works with all major streaming devices including Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Smart TVs powered by Android TV and Google TV.

fuboTV has a 7-day free trial. A subscription costs $74.99 per month. You aren’t under any obligation to keep the service and can cancel online.

NBA League Pass

A subscription to NBA League Pass gives you access to out-of-market NBA games. The entry-level plan costs $14.99 per month, and lets to stream live games on one device at a time. You can get a free 7-day trial without any obligations.

You can start watching live games on Smart TVs and popular streaming devices — wherever the NBA app is available.
