ABOUT THE MAP: Hulu keeps no official roster of local ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX channels. This map will be updated by crowd sourced info that will be double checked. So feel free to report local channels and regional sports networks along with your zip code in the comments below. This map is a sequel of sorts to a similar map I made on the site in 2016 for the now-defunct PlayStation Vue. Fox Sports networks are no longer carried by Hulu + Live TV.

Hulu with Live TV: The Basics on Channels, Price & Packages

Hulu’s live TV service ranks as one of the best values around.

At $54.99 per month, subscribers get more than 65 live TV channels.

Becoming a cord cutter and using Hulu+ Live TV is much cheaper than a cable TV or satellite service.

There is only one channel bundle with Hulu. It includes ESPN, local NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and regional sports networks. (The interactive map below shows what local channels and regional sports networks are available in a number of cities and towns.)

There is a robust lineup of news and entertainment channels that are carried by pricier cable TV and satellite services.

And unlike its competitors, Hulu’s Live TV package rolls together two streaming services rolled into one. Hulu’s on-demand library is included with a live TV subscription. It’s the same on-demand service that people pay $5.99 per month for. The on-demand library has popular prime time TV shows, movies and Hulu Originals.

For sports fans, you’ll find all ESPN channels plus the Golf Channel. Regional FOX Sports and NBCSN are included. Stream on up to two live TV stations at once. There are lots of news and entertainment channels.

A Hulu+ Live TV subscription allows you to watch on up to two screens at once. Or you can upgrade to unlimited screens

Who is Hulu with Live TV for?

Hulu is a good fit for people who want all of their live TV, on-demand and premiums like HBO or Showtime in one app.

Its closest competitor is YouTube TV, which has more live TV channels, but a smaller number of titles in its on-demand library.

YouTube TV lacks Hulu’s growing stable of original series such as The Handmaid’s Tale and Little Fires Everywhere. A YouTube TV subscription costs $64.99 per month.

Currently, Hulu is offering a 7-day free trial for its Live TV service, and it’s on-demand service.

What’s new with Hulu in 2020?

In 2020, Hulu’s on-demand service began carrying brand new episodes from FX on its platform and exclusive originals.

FX on Hulu launched on March 2. So now you can get your fill of American Horror Story without needing a cable subscription.

Hulu will even recommend something for you to watch based on what kind of mood you’re in.

The Complete Hulu + Live TV channel list

Picking Hulu Live TV over another streaming service generally boils down to channel lineup and price.

So if AMC and all three Hallmark Networks are a must, then you will probably be better off with competitors such as Philo, Sling TV or fuboTV.

Hulu only offers one channel bundle and the option for premium add-ons such as HBO. Here is the complete list of channels for Hulu with Live TV.

ABC News Live

Animal Planet
Big Ten Network

Does Hulu Live have local channels?

Hulu has coverage for a large number of local networks from across the U.S. The interactive map (above) shows what local ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX stations are carried by Hulu throughout the U.S.

Note that Hulu does not carry any PBS stations. YouTube TV is the only live TV streaming service that carries PBS

The map, by no means, has every last city and town represented. So it’s a good idea to double check with Hulu. Just go to the view channels section of the Hulu site and type in your zip code.

The value of this is pretty huge for people who cannot get free local channels with a TV antenna or are not close to broadcast towers.

Hulu’s Sports Channels: ESPN, FOX and NBCSN RSNs

You’ll find ESPN’s full suite of networks on Hulu with Live TV.

ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, ESPNU, ESPN College Extra, ESPN Bases Loaded, ESPN Goal Line and SEC Network are included at no extra cost.

BTN Network, FS1, FS2, Golf Channel and Olympic Channel add some diversity to the ESPN-heavy lineup.

Hulu was among the few live TV streaming services that carried FOX Sports regional sports networks and Yes Network. But that came to an end in October 2020 over a contract dispute with Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc.

Hulu and ESPN are owned by Disney. So it’s pretty unlikely that you run the risk of losing ESPN channels in your lineup if you’re a Hulu Live TV subscriber.

News channels on Hulu with Live TV

With local channels, the nightly news for ABC, CBS and NBC will always be available to you.

Hulu also has a cross section of online and cable TV news networks. They include: ABC News Live, CBSN, Cheddar Business, CNBC, CNN, CNN International, FOX Business, FOX News, HLN and MSNBC.

What kids channels are on Hulu Live?

Subscribers get Disney XD, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Universal Kids as part of a live TV subscription.

Aside from Hulu’s standard channel lineup, there are some smaller channels bundles that you can add onto a subscription.

Entertainment add-on: $7.99 per month

Español Add-on: $4.99 per month

Can I get HBO on Hulu?

Currently, Hulu live subscribers have the option of getting HBO Max for $14.99 per month. HBO Max is the latest generation of HBO with added shows from Turner Networks and originals owned by AT&T.

HBO Max costs $14.99/mo.
Cinemax costs $9.99/mo.
Showtime costs $10.99/mo.
STARZ costs $8.99/mo.

Subscribing to a premium network through Hulu gives you all the live channels and on-demand library. So you can easily catch up on an older season of a show like Westworld, and see new movies and originals.

Add-on options

Unlimited screens costs $9.99/mo.

Enhanced Cloud DVR costs $9.99/mo.

Can I watch AMC on Hulu with Live TV?

Hulu with Live TV does not carry AMC in its channel lineup. To live stream AMC, you will have to rely on a smaller streaming service such as Philo. But that may soon change.

AMC+ is a new streaming service that’s available for $4.99 per month if you use an Xfinity Flex streaming box. A company spokesperson recently said that AMC Networks is in talks with other distributors.

There are a number of AMC shows that are available Hulu’s on-demand service. But that won’t help you for watching The Walking Dead.

Hulu’s TV Everywhere apps

Hulu with Live TV subscribers can activate a number of apps on streaming devices and websites. So for example, if you want to use the FXNOW app to watch a movie, or check out an alternate live stream, you can use your Hulu account to sign in to the app on a Roku or Fire TV.

So you don’t cable login anymore to use apps on your streaming device. Hulu maintains a list of about 40 TV Everywhere channel apps that you sign into by using your subscription.

Is Hulu with Live TV worth it?

Hulu with Live TV has some real value for sports fans who need live TV channels such as ESPN.

At $54.99 per month, Hulu’s live TV package costs $10 less than major competitors such as YouTube TV and fuboTV. And you’re getting Hulu’s on-demand library of movies, Hulu Originals and TV shows.

So essentially it’s two streaming services for less money than services with similar live TV bundles.

You’re getting the sought-after cable TV channels such as A&E, CNN and History.

Local NBC, CBS and ABC pretty much fill out the same roster of networks as a cable subscription at half the price.

If you can learn how to negotiate a better price for an Internet connection, Hulu can save you quite a bit of money without sacrificing your favorite shows.

Subscribers get 50 hours of Cloud DVR for recordings — no extra cable box needed. And you can add on premium channels such as HBO Max and Showtime.

You can look over Hulu’s channel lineup to see what regional sports networks or locals are in your area, or sign up for a free 7-day trial of Hulu with Live TV.
