How To Watch Monday Night Football for 2024-25

Monday Night Football (MNF) on ESPN is becoming increasingly popular, despite millions of TV viewers dumping their cable and satellite plans each year.

By Week 9 of the 2023 season, Monday Night Football averaged 15.6 million fans per game, surpassing more than 101 million viewers.

This season, cord-cutters can watch Monday Night Football on ESPN through five live TV streaming services. 

DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV carry the necessary channels to watch Monday Night Football and other NFL games live without a cable or satellite TV subscription. 

ESPN is carrying 21 Monday Night Football games during the 2024-25 season, including the return of the Week 18 Doubleheader Saturday, a Monday night Super Wild Card and  Divisional playoff game.

What channel is Monday Night Football on?

Monday Night Football is on ESPN. But the 2023-24 NFL season has multiple games happening on Monday Nights. 

There will be 12 games on ESPN+, and 11 on ABC. Some of these MNF games will be simulcasts, others will be exclusive to the network or streaming platform. Here is the Monday Night Football schedule breaking down where and what time you can watch your favorite NFL team.

How to watch Monday Night Football Live Without Cable

All you need to start streaming Monday Night Football games live without cable live is a Smart TV or streaming device. Most live TV streaming services come with a wide variety of sports channels.

ESPN, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, ACC Network (ACCN), Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, SEC Network, FS1, and FS2 cover professional and college sports.

You will need local broadcast networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX to watch Sunday Night Football, or NFL games on Sunday afternoon. Thursday Night Football is on Amazon Prime or available through a local channel if your local team is playing.

The Spanish-language simulcast for MNF is on ESPN Deportes. 

Smart TVs by Samsung, Sony Bravia, Vizio and LG support most live TV streaming services. You can use a Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast or Apple TV to stream live TV. Game consoles including XBox and PlayStation support watching TV as well.

Hulu Live TV

Hulu Live TV probably has the most comprehensive coverage for NFL games this season with more than 75 TV channels with access to ESPN+. 

ABC, ESPN, CBS Sports Network and SEC Network are included in the channel lineup along with CNN and A&E. You can watch TV on up to two screens at once.

Hulu comes with unlimited DVR storage so you can record sports, news, movies or whatever else you want. Hulu carries local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC across the U.S.

You get unlimited access to ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu’s on-demand library of movies and TV shows.

New subscribers can currently get Hulu Live TV for $49.99 per month for three months when you sign up. A subscription costs $76.99 per month after that. You can also watch more than 500 college football games on ESPN Plus this year. 

Hulu no longer offers a free trial. You can look over the channel lineup before deciding whether to sign up.

The Premier Package has over 150 channels, including premium channels such as HBO, Cinemax and Showtime. The Premier package is $154.99 per month.

All of these channel lineups are nearly the same as DIRECTV satellite service, but with a slight price difference.

Subscribers can get three months of Max, Showtime, Cinemax and MGM+ for free before the monthly rates kick in.
