NHL Live Streaming: How to Watch NHL Online without Cable

How To Watch NHL Games Online without Cable

This guide will show you how to stream NHL games on a Roku, Firestick, Apple TV and even your iPhone or gaming console.

There are a number of streaming services out there with regional sports networks, including NBC Sports, FOX Sports and MSG Network. So forget about shelling out a bunch of money to Comcast or Spectrum.

My top pick this year is fuboTV because they have most complete NHL coverage through RSNs than any other streaming service.

fuboTV has 80+ channels, including key local networks like CBS, FOX and NBC. You can look over the local channel lineup before trying out the service free for a week. There are no contracts or hidden fees like cable TV.

Sling TV is my budget pick to stream NHL games. The Sling Blue bundle costs $25 per month and hasabout 15 regional FOX Sports networks across the U.S. fuboTV and Sling TV has apps for just about every device out there, including Roku, Android TV, Fire TV, Apple TV. You can also watch games on a PC or an iPhone and Android smartphone.

Let’s dive into more detail about all the services that cord cutters use to watch NHL games free or for a fraction of the cost without cable.

Watch NHL Hockey FREE with an TV antenna

You can watch a number of NHL games for free on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC in crisp high definition by using a TV antenna. Just head over the AntennaWeb, punch in your zip code and see if there are broadcast towers within 40 or so miles.

For an indoor antenna, I use a ClearStream Eclipse with an amplifier. For an outdoor antenna, the Antop 400-BV is the best that I’ve tested. Read my guides: How to Choose the Best Antenna & DVR and the Best Indoor TV Antennas for more tips.
