TNT is becoming more available to stream in 2024 than ever before.
Sling TV, Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, and DIRECTV STREAM all feature TNT as a live channel, offering diverse ways to watch TNT without cable. Max, formerly known as HBO Max, is a fifth option, specializing in live sports from TNT, TBS and truTV.
You won’t find TNT on Amazon Prime. For those eagerly awaiting new options, TNT will be part of a sports-focused streaming service from ESPN, FOX and Warner Bros. Discovery is set to debut this fall. This guide breaks down all 12 plans currently available so you can stream TNT live without cable.
Currently, Max is the cheapest option for TNT streaming at $9.99 per month. But only DIRECTV STREAM and YouTube TV are currently offering a free trial.
How to Watch TNT in 2024
Max stands out as the most affordable option to live stream TNT without a cable subscription.
With Max, you can choose between an ad-supported plan at $9.99 per month or an ad-free experience for $15.99 per month. The Bleacher Report sports add-on, currently complimentary, will soon be priced at $9.99 per month.
The sports add-on includes sports live streams from TNT, TBS, truTV. Sports fans can watch NBA games, and live coverage of NCAA March Madness, NHL’s 2024 regular season and Major League Baseball.
For a broader selection of channels, DIRECTV STREAM’s Entertainment package offers a comprehensive, cable-like lineup, especially for sports fans, at $79.99 per month. Plus, they provide a 5-day TNT free trial to test their live TV service.
When selecting your preferred way to stream TNT sans cable, it’s crucial to weigh both reliability and cost-efficiency.
Max launched the Bleacher Report Sports add-on to U.S. customers on October 5, 2023.
This sports package includes live games on TNT, TBS, and TruTV, showcasing major NBA, MLB, and NHL events. Although the Bleacher Report Sports add-on will eventually cost $9.99 per month, Max is currently offering a complimentary period for this live sports package to all its customers.
Not everything TNT is on Max. For all six seasons of ‘Animal Kingdom’ on-demand, you need an Amazon Prime subscription. For ‘The Alienist,’ and other TNT shows, Max is the better (and cheaper) choice.
All of these streaming services are compatible with a variety of devices, including Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast with Google TV, and other Android TV devices.
Currently, TNT is offered in HD resolution. As of now, TNT is not offered in 4K by any streaming service.

Max has three Plans: ad-Supported at $9.99 per month is an economical way to watch live sports on TNT.
The Ad-Free plan is priced at $15.99 per month for uninterrupted streaming. And remember, the Bleacher Report Sports add-on will eventually cost $9.99 per month, but for now, it’s on the house.

Methodology
I spend hundreds of hours throughout the year conducting hands-on testing of streaming services, including Peacock, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV. I do the same rigorous testing for TV antennas and TV-related hardware. Check out the review policy to see how I compare products and services. I’ve got MAX and it has Live Sports from TNT but not TBS. I’d like to watch All Elite Wrestling but since TBS is not on here, all that is featured is a season of All Access by AEW.
Thanks for an informative and well written guide
Ditto.
I’ve cut the cord back in 2012 and will not go back, and if it takes not being able to see specific shows, then so be it.. TNT needs to cut the cords too..
