Hello there and welcome!

Thanks so much for dropping me a line. While you’re here, I wanted to share a few things about me and The Cord Cutting Report.

General Contact Information

There are plenty of ways to contact me:

I do not accept guest posts or sponsored posts.

Never have. Never will. Don’t bother asking me.

A Quick Heads Up

I love hearing from readers. I get quite a bit of email every day. I do my best to respond in a timely and responsible way.

But I am a one man operation with no staff or help (other than the caffeine coursing through my veins).

So I am only able to write back to a small number of your messages. That said, I do read every one of them. And I’d love to hear about your cord cutting adventures, and how you’re saving money.

Cord Cutting Advice

If you have a super technical question that you couldn’t find an answer for within the site, feel free to drop me a line.

I’ll do my best to help. Everything I know about getting cutting the cord from cable in 2023 is in my annual comprehensive guide. I encourage you to read that first as a starting point. You can head over to the TV channels category for information about getting a specific broadcast or cable TV channel on a streaming service. You can look over the Sports category for professional and college sports guides and streaming options.

The CCR’s YouTube Channel has a growing roster of reviews and how-to videos. And you can always join the newsletter for an ongoing trove of weekly free tech tips, news, product reviews and how-to guides.

You’re not alone in the woods, my friend.

Interviews and the media

I come from the daily newspaper business, so I appreciate and respect deadlines. So generally, I say yes to invites from established magazines, newspapers and podcasts on the hunt for an expert of streaming, over-the-air TV and general cord-cutting trends.

This site was created in 2016 as a way to share what I’ve learned from cord cutting and years of living without cable.

I ditched cable back in the 1990s when I was too broke for it. Even well into my 30s, I was watching TV on the same Sharp 27” TV that I bought when I was 14 years old with paper-route money.

No guest posts, vague solicitations, etc.

If you or your client has a product that makes a lot of sense for a cord cutting audience, then by all means, drop me a line.

We can talk about the possibility of arranging a product review. But please be clear about what the product is, and why you think it would be a good fit.

Mysterious or vague solicitations won’t get a response. There is no guest posting on this site.

You also won’t see any pop-ups, automatic/forced videos or clickbait. Those kinds of things annoy me when I visit websites, so I’m not having them here.

I’m taking a more holistic approach to delivering comprehensive product reviews, guides and free tips for users.
