Vegas Golden Knights fans who live in the team’s home TV market no longer need a cable plan to watch most games during the 2024-2025 NHL season.

Cord-cutters can watch Knights games for free if they use a TV antenna. If you prefer to stream live games, you can subscribe to KnightTime+. Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of AT&T SportsNet, announced in early 2023 that they were exiting the regional sports network (RSN) business.

This decision was driven by the declining profitability of RSNs as viewers moved away from traditional cable subscriptions.

Watch Vegas Golden Knights Free on a TV Antenna with Over-the-Air (OTA) Stations

The Golden Knights’ games will be available on free, over-the-air broadcast channels in the local market:

  • Las Vegas: Vegas 34 (KMCC), channel 34.1 — UHF — Independent

The Golden Knights will have 69 games aired on Scripps Sports, with additional games available on national networks like ESPN and TNT.

If you live within 20 miles or less of KMCC, you can probably use an indoor leaf-style antenna from Mohu or Antennas Direct. You will want a medium-gain indoor TV antenna.

Gain measures an antenna’s signal boost, usually between 5 to 15 dB. Choose antennas in this range. Avoid low-gain options like bunny ears.

An outdoor antenna will always give the best reception. You can try an outdoor antenna in your attic instead of mounting it on a roof.

KnightTime+

The Golden Knights have launched KnightTime+, a new streaming app for in-market fans. With KnightTime+, fans can watch all locally aired Golden Knights games.

The Season Pass costs $69.99 for the entire season, or you can subscribe for $7 per month.

The streaming service is available only within the Golden Knights’ designated broadcast territory. This includes areas throughout Las Vegas and the surrounding regions.

Games shown exclusively on national television through ESPN, ABC, or TNT are not available on KnightTime+.

National Broadcasts

Some Golden Knights games will be available on national networks such as ESPN, ABC, and TNT. Fans can stream these games through services that carry these channels, including:

  • ESPN+
  • Hulu + Live TV
  • YouTube TV
  • Sling TV
  • DIRECTV STREAM

Out-of-Market Viewing

Fans outside of the Golden Knights’ broadcast territory can stream locally broadcast games via ESPN+ with a subscription. A subscription to ESPN+ costs $11.99 per month. This is the cheapest option if you want to watch the Golden Knights live and live outside of the team’s coverage area.

Radio Broadcasts

All Golden Knights games will also be available on the VGK Radio Network, which includes FOX Sports Radio Las Vegas (98.9 FM, 1340 AM). Spanish broadcasts are available on Deportes Vegas (1460 AM).
