by Jim Kimble / Updated: October 26, 2022

The 2022 World Series has the Houston Astros playing the Philadelphia Phillies starting Friday, October 28. Every game begins at 8:03 P.M. ET.

The series could last until Saturday, November 5 if it reaches Game 7. (See the World Series Schedule below.)

Houston had a seamless performance in the playoffs, capturing the American League pennant after shutting down the New York Yankees.

How to Watch The World Series for Free

There are advantages to owning your own TV antenna, especially when it’s time to watch MLB games during the regular season, and the MLB postseason.

Watching the World Series for free on FOX is one of the great pleasures of Fall.

Using a TV antenna will actually give you a better picture than a cable subscription. Broadcasts from local towers – like your local FOX broadcast – are transmitting signals that are far less compressed HD quality compared to cable TV.

You will notice quite a difference in picture quality once you set up your TV antenna and scan for channels. Once the /World Series is over, you can keep watching those channels for free.
