What is Bosch: Legacy about?
Fans of Michael Connelly’s novels will recognize the storyline as being adapted from “The Wrong Side of Goodbye”.
The storyline in Legacy is loosely based on the novel. In Legacy, Bosch (Titus Welliver) begins working with Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers). The two still have some unfinished business from “Bosch” Season 7 with the mistrial of Carl Rogers.
Maddie Bosch begins as a rookie LAPD patrol officer, trying to decide what kind of cop she wants to be.
Season 1 of “Bosch: Legacy: debuts on Amazon’s re-branded free streaming service called FreeVee (formerly IMDb TV).
Four episodes of the new series were available on Friday, May 6. Two new episodes will premiere every Friday.
What is Amazon Freevee?
Formerly known as IMDb TV, Freevee is Amazon’s free ad-supported streaming service.
Freevee is available on all Amazon Fire TV devices, Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast and Smart TVs that run on Android TV or Google TV.
Where can I watch Bosch for free?
In years past, you needed an Amazon Prime subscription to watch Season 1 through Season 7 of “Bosch”.
Amazon announced last month that all seven seasons of the Prime Video Original series will be free on Freevee. In other words, you won’t need a Prime subscription. Unlike its Prime Video days, “Bosch” now has commercials.
Freevee also has a dedicated Bosch (FAST) channel, which will have a rotation of “Bosch” episodes similar to broadcast TV.
Will there be a Season 2 of “Bosch: Legacy”?
Yes. Amazon Freevee announced that a Season 2 of “Bosch: Legacy” was already picked up. The announcement happened just days before Legacy’s premiere on May 6.
