Amazon Prime Day officially kicks off on June 21 and runs through June 22. But there are already a number of early Prime Day deals to be had.
And as with previous years, Amazon is not the only company offering big discounts. There are a number of brands that sell their hardware or services through Amazon that are having sales on Prime Day.
Streaming gets much of the attention these days in the realm of cord cutting and breaking away from cable TV.
TV antennas remain a crucial staple for free live TV — especially if you want local channels such as NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS. But TV antennas are often overlooked and not really well understood.
Antennas Direct is aiming to change that, offering two of its priciest TV antennas at 30 percent off. But their flash sale that starts Tuesday only lasts for four hours.

The ClearStream 2V Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna is currently $80.55, but drops in price to $56.38 during the flash sale.
I have not personally reviewed the ClearStream 4V, but the ClearStream 2V made my review of the Best Outdoor TV antennas. Antennas Direct also ranks among the top for the best indoor TV antennas that I have tested in recent years.
$.99/month: Showtime, EPIX, PBS Masterpiece and 10 other streaming services
Amazon Prime customers have access to dozens of subscription-based streaming services called Amazon Channels.
Between now and the end of Prime Day, there are more than a dozen streaming apps that are offering a deal: 2 months of service for 99 cents per month.
This deal applies to AMC+ Showtime, Discovery+, EPIX, Lifetime Movie Club, Motortrend, Paramount+, PBS Masterpiece, PBS Documentaries, Urban Movie Channel, UP Faith & Family, Pantaya and Moviesphere.
You can look over which Amazon Channels and other movie rentals are on sale.
Remember, the $0.99-cent rate lasts for two months and then renews at the full subscription rate. Prime Video Channels are easy to cancel under the settings of your Amazon Prime account.
Fire TV Deals
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K will be half off at $24.99 during Prime Day, making it one of the better deals to be had for a streaming device.
I recently made a video delving into the new Fire TV home screen, and how to set up live TV options on Fire TV devices.
Likewise, the Fire TV Stick with new remote control will be marked down to $22.99 during Prime Day. That’s a 43 percent discount from the regular price of $39.99.
The Fire TV Cube is currently priced at $79.99 before Prime Day. It is usually priced at $119.99. To get this deal, you need to order through your current Alexa device by saying, “Alexa, order a Fire TV Cube.”
Will Fire TV Recast go on sale for Prime Day?
Last year, Amazon dropped the price for Fire TV Recast by $100. If you’re picking up a TV antenna and already use Fire TV as your streaming device of choice, then a discounted Recast is a good option for a DVR.
The Fire TV Recast integrates free over-the-air channels from a TV antenna into your “Live” tab on Fire TV Sticks and Fire TV Cubes. You can also watch free over-the-air channels on your smartphone, Fire HD tablets and outside of your home.
Fire TV Edition Televisions
Amazon is currently offering 18 different models of televisions that include its Fire TV software.
The cheapest is a 24” Insignia with 720p picture resolution for $99.99.
Streaming devices often get all the attention when people talk about streaming and the era of cord cutting that ushered it along.
But in the last few years, Amazon and Roku alike have been licensing their streaming software to Smart TV makers. And these TVs are inexpensive compared to what a TV cost a decade ago.
The 18 TVs range in size and picture resolution. But this is an easy way to get a 4K for a little over $200. An Insignia 43” 4K UHD Smart Fire TV is on sale for $219.99. And a 55” Insignia 4K Smart Fire TV is $349.
