What streaming services carry Root Sports Northwest?

DIRECTV STREAM and fuboTV are currently the only two live TV streaming services that have Root Sports Northwest.

Subscribers can use an Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku, Apple TV and Google Chromecast with Google TV to watch live Seattle Kraken or MLB games.

Stream Seattle Mariners games live on Roku, Fire TV Stick

Root Sports Northwest is a rarity among live TV streaming services.

But cord-cutters and sports fans have two options to watch Seattle Kraken and Mariners games without cable TV.

Right now, fuboTV is the cheapest way to watch Root Sports Northwest on a Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick or Google Chromecast with Google TV. A subscription costs $64.99 per month, but you can try out the service free for a week.

fuboTV

fuboTV has 122 channels in its entry-level Pro plan, including FS1, ESPN and Big Ten Network.

You also get local FOX, NBC and CBS stations alongside beIN Sports and USA Network. fuboTV has coverage for NBC regional sports networks.

AMC, Hallmark Channel and Paramount Network can all be found in the base channel package.

Fubo also streams select sporting events in 4K.

Subscribers get 250 hours of Cloud DVR included, and lots of on-demand movies and TV shows. Fubo lets you watch live TV channels on two screens at once.

Fubo works on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV devices like Chromecast with Google TV. You can also watch on a PC or smartphone.

The Fubo basic channel package costs $69.99 per month.

You can look over the channel lineup before deciding whether to sign up. fuboTV has a free 7-day trial with no obligations. Just cancel online before the trial ends if you don’t want to keep it.

DIRECTV Stream

DIRECTV STREAM is the other option for watching most Seattle Mariners games without a cable or satellite provider.

It costs more than competing services that live stream ESPN or CNN.

The Choice plan, which carries 90+ channels, is $89.99 per month.

But DIRECTV STREAM still has one advantage over paying for DIRECTV, DISH, Xfinity, Comcast or Spectrum.

DIRECTV STREAM has a free 5-day trial. When you sign up, you can subscribe month to month and cancel whenever you want.

Subscribers get three months of HBO Max free before the $14.99-per-month rate kicks in.

The Choice bundle has a wide variety of sports channels including ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPN, ESPN2, regional NBC Sports and SEC Network.

Root Sports Northwest is only available in five states. It is broadcast throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

All of your local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Telemundo and Univision channels are included. And you get top cable TV channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, ACC Network, TNT, History and A&E.

And you don’t need to pay for a cable box.

DIRECTV STREAM works with Roku, Amazon Fire TV, iPhones, web browsers, tablets and Samsung Smart TVs.

You can look over the different channel lineups before deciding whether to sign up for a free trial.

Is Root Sports on Sling TV?

No. Sling TV does not carry Root Sports Northwest. The only two live TV services that carry the regional sports network is fuboTV and DIRECTV STREAM.

Are Seattle Kraken games on ESPN+?

ESPN+ carries nationally broadcast NHL and MLB games on a daily basis. So you will be able to watch some Seattle Kraken or Mariners games during the regular season.

ESPN+ costs $6.99 per month, and live streams NHL games daily. So it’s an inexpensive way to pick up nationally broadcast NHL games. You can sign up for ESPN+, and then activate your subscription within the ESPN app.
