How to start streaming AT&T TV SportsNet Southwest

fuboTV and AT&T TV are the only two live TV streaming services that currently offer AT&T TV SportsNet Southwest. You can watch live TV using these services on a Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, PC and most smartphones.

Watch Houston Astros Live

Today, I’m going to show you how to watch Houston Astros games on AT&T SportsNet Southwest without a cable TV subscription.

If you live in Texas and want to watch either Houston Astros or Houston Rockets games, you don’t need Comcast or DIRECTV anymore.

Your best option for live streaming AT&T SportsNet Southwest is through fuboTV. New customers can sign up for a 7-day free trial.

All you need to watch live TV through fuboTV is a streaming device such as a Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chomecast or Apple TV. You’ll need an Internet connection too.

Baseball season is a good time to cut the cord from a pricey cable TV subscription. You will be able to pay less for live sports and have more flexibility with your live TV options.

There are no contracts or hidden fees with a live TV service like fuboTV. You pay month-to-month and can easily change your service online.

So you can start up or drop the service whenever you want.

Stream AT&T SportsNet Southwest

fuboTV has 120+ live TV channels in the Family plan channel package. That package includes AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

A&E, Discovery, ESPN, ESPN2, PAC-12 network and SEC Network, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network and MLB Network, AMC, Bravo, USA network are also part of the Family bundle.

You can look over the channel lineup to see what locals and regional sports networks are available in your area.

Subscribers get 250 hours of Cloud DVR to record games, TV shows and movies. You can also catch up on a game that was aired in the last 72 hours by using fubo’s lookback feature.

Subscribers can get extra live streams, on-demand movies and TV shows by activating more than 40 apps on a streaming device or PC.  A subscription is $64.99 per month.

You can sign up for a free 7-day trial to see if fuboTV is a good fit for you. Just be sure to cancel the trial before it ends if you decide the service isn’t for you.

What channels do I need for Houston Astros games?

Not every Houston Astros game is on AT&T Sports Southwest. Last season, games that were nationally broadcasted aired on MLB Network, FS1, FOX and TBS.

So far, it looks like you will at least need a local FOX station based on the latest Astros schedule.

But if you want the MLB Network, you will need to add on the fubo extra or sports plus packages.

The fubo extra package has 30+ more sports and entertainment channels for another $5.99 per month. Cooking Channel, DIY Network, Game Show Network, INSP, NBA TV, Nick Toons, Tennis Channel are part of the extra package.

The sports plus add-on has 20+ sports channels including NBA TV, NFL Network’s NFL RedZone, Pac 12 Regional Networks, and Stadium for $10.99/month.

AT&T SportsNet Southwest & FOX Sports Networks

AT&T TV is the only live TV service that carries AT&T SportsNet Southwest and regional Fox Sports Networks.

But it’s also the most expensive option. So you’ll need to weigh whether its pros outweigh its cons.

The Choice plan, which carries 90+ channels, is $84.99 per month.

A subscription gets you a free year of HBO Max (usually $14.99 per month), and a free year of NBA League Pass Premium (usually $250).  AT&T TV now offers a no contract option so you can subscribe month to month and cancel whenever you want.

Subscribers get a wide variety of sports channels including Big Ten Network, ESPN, ESPN2, and regional NBC Sports networks.

If you do sign up, you should know that you have to choose the “no contract” option during the account setup process. It’s not automatic.

If you opt for a two year contract, then the price drops to $69.99 per month for the Choice plan.

Does Hulu have AT&T SportsNet Southwest?

No. Hulu + Live TV carries 70+ live TV channels including ESPN, regional Fox Sports networks and entertainment channels such as A&E and Food Network.

You will only be able to watch national broadcast Astros games using Hulu with Live TV.

What’s the best way to stream AT&T SportsNet Southwest live without cable?

Right now, fuboTV is your best option for live streaming AT&T SportsNet Southwest without a cable TV or satellite service.

Look over the channel lineup for fuboTV or check out a free 7-day trial. You can use a Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV or Google Chromecast to watch live TV online.

If you’re already paying around $150 to $200 per month for cable, you can really save some money with a service like fuboTV.

You should also investigate how to pay a lower price for Internet service once you make the switch.
