How to watch Fox (Bally) Sports West
AT&T TV is currently the only live TV streaming service that carries regional FOX (Bally) Sports channels. FOX Sports West is now Bally Sports West as of March 31, 2021. Subscribers can use an Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Google Chromecast with Google TV.
How to Stream FOX (Bally) Sports West Live on Roku, Fire TV
FOX Sports West is now Bally Sports West, and it’s no longer on the majority of live TV streaming services.
AT&T TV is the one exception.
So there is still a way to cut the cord from a pricey cable TV subscription and watch the Los Angeles Angels or the Anaheim Ducks.
But be warned, AT&T TV doesn’t come cheap. It’s $84.99 per month for 90+ channels, but it also includes a free year of HBO Max and NBA League Pass Premium.
AT&T TV works on Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Google Chromecast with Google TV and Smart TVs.
A decent Internet connection is also required. By the way, you don’t have to pay a lot to get Internet without cable. I’m paying about $30 per month right now and have all the Internet bandwidth that I need for streaming.
No contract vs contract option
AT&T TV still has one advantage over paying for DIRECTV, DISH or Spectrum. AT&T TV now offers a no contract option so you can subscribe month to month and cancel whenever you want.
Subscribers in Southern California and the Las Vegas area get a wide variety of sports channels including ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPN, ESPN2, regional NBC Sports and SEC Network.
All of your local ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Telemundo and Univision channels are included. And you get top cable TV channels such as ESPN, ESPN2, ACC Network, TNT, History, CNN and A&E.
And you don’t need to pay for a cable box.
If you do sign up, you should know that you have to choose the “no contract” option during the account setup process. It’s not automatic.
If you opt for a two year contract, then the price drops to $69.99 per month for the Choice plan.
Why can’t I stream Fox (Bally) Sports West on Hulu or YouTube TV?
There was a time when regional FOX Sports channels were available on a number of live TV streaming services. That included Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, fuboTV and YouTube TV.
These streaming services have yet to strike a long-term agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group since the company took ownership of 21 regional Fox Sports networks in 2019.
The Bally Sports app is set to debut for the 2021 MLB season, and replace the FOX Sports Go app. But it won’t be a standalone streaming service.
