How to Watch Power Online Without Cable

August 25, 2019 by Jim KimbleLeave a Comment

Stream Power Online with Hulu or Starz

During the first episode of “Power”, you’re quickly pulled into the deep conflict felt by New York drug kingpin James St. Patrick.

He wants to go legit. His business partner and wife laugh it off and won’t let him.

He goes by the nickname “Ghost”, and maybe that’s pretty appropriate, considering his ambition to use his popular nightclub to leave the criminal underworld behind.

If you’re looking for a way to watch Power online, you don’t need a cable subscription.

This quick guide will show you how to catch up on Season 1 through Season 5, and even watch a week’s worth of episodes for free. Need to watch Season 6? No problem.

If you’re just starting to watch Power, then your best option is to tap a one-week free trial of Hulu. You can watch Season 1 through Season 5 as part of a regular subscription to Hulu, which costs $5.99 per month. You don’t need an add-on subscription to Starz or anything else.

Hulu works with just about every streaming app, including Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Firestick. You can also stream episodes on your iPhone or PC.

When is Power on Starz?

Season 6 is just getting underway with the season premiere launching Aug. 25. You can subscribe to Starz a couple of different ways, and live stream Power the season finale airs. The easiest way is to sign up directly on Starz website, so you can watch Power online however you choose. There’s a Starz app for most major streaming devices such as Roku, Apple TV and Fire TV.

You can also sign up for a free 7-day trial of Starz on Amazon Channels. A Starz subscription will let you live stream the season finale and prior episodes of Season 6. You can use your Starz account to dive into the earlier seasons as well.

What’s the best way to watch Power online?

It depends on where you’re at with the series. If you want to want Season 1 through Season 5, Hulu is the slightly cheaper option for $5.99 per month. And you can binge watch most of Power by signing up for Hulu.

If you want to watch Season 5 of Power, then sign up for a subscription to Starz. For $8.99 per month, you get a live feed of Starz and unlimited access to all of Starz’s original shows like “Boss” and “American Gods”. There’s no obligation to keep a Starz subscription, and no hidden fees like a cable TV subscription.

You can stream Power on the Starz app using a Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV and most other major streaming devices. There’s also an option to get a 30 percent discount on Starzif you pay $74.99 for the full year in advance.

Will Season 5 of Power be on Hulu?

Yes. Hulu announced last year that, “Under the terms of the agreement, future seasons of Power will also become available to stream in their entirety on Hulu.” But, all seasons of Power will remain on the STARZ channels and services as well.

Power is currently Starz’s #1 original series and one of the highest-rated premium cable dramas. So the deal is a good way for people to become aware of the show and possibly subscribe to Starz for the latest episodes.

What is Power about?

The series Power is basically a crime drama. It straddles the glamorous Manhattan lifestyles of the rich and infamous and the underworld of the international drug trade. The cast is led by Omari Hardwick as drug kingpin and nightclub impresario James “Ghost” St. Patrick.

Joseph Sikora is his brother in arms in the drug business, Tommy Egan. Naturi Naughton plays Ghost’s fierce, loyal wife Tasha St. Patrick.

Lela Loren plays Ghost’s first love, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Valdes.

Year-to-year, Power has continued to break viewership records and has grown to become the second-most-watched series on premium television. The third season of the hit drama series delivered a record 8 million multiplatform viewers per episode. The series is based and shot entirely in New York City. Executive Producers are Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, Randall Emmett and Gary Lennon. The show is produced by G-Unit Films and Television, the production company launched by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Does Netflix have Power Season 1?

No. Your two options for watching Season 1 of Power is on Hulu and Starz.

Can I buy episodes of Power?

Yes, iTunes is probably your best bet. You can then watch them just about anywhere using your Movies Anywhere account on devices like Roku, NVIDIA Shield TV and Amazon Fire TV.

But the better value is to try out Hulu to watch Power online. You can start a free 7-day trial with Hulu to catch Season 1 through Season 4 of Power. Join Starz for $8.99 per month to watch Season 5. You can cancel your subscription whenever you want online.
