How to Watch the MLB All-Star Game 2023 Without Cable

Baseball fans will need a local FOX station to watch the 2023 MLB All-Star Game on TV or another screen such as a tablet, PC, or smartphone. 

Live TV streaming services are supported on Smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast and Apple TV. You can also use a TV antenna to watch FOX for free.

The Spanish-language simulcast of the All-Star Game on FOX Deportes requires a Spanish-language add-on bundle with some live streaming services. 

YouTube TV, DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, fubo and Vidgo all carry local FOX stations and live TV channels that were once exclusive to cable TV and satellite services.

Who are the players in the 2023 MLB All Star Game?

A full roster of the American League and National League on Sunday, according to MLB.com. 

American League players include Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees; Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels, Adley Rutschman of the Baltimore Orioles; first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., second baseman Whit Merrifield and shortstop Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays; third baseman José Ramírez of the Cleveland Guardians; outfielders Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros, Adolis García of the Texas Rangers and Austin Hays of the Orioles; and designated hitter Brent Rooker of the Athletics. 

AL pitchers include starters Nathan Eovaldi of the Rangers; Shane McClanahan of the Tampa Bay Rays; Gerrit Cole of the New York Yankees; and Sonny Gray of the Minnesota Twins; and Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.

Ohtani was elected the AL’s starting designated hitter by fan vote. He is the only two-way All-Star in Major League history. Félix Bautista and Yennier Cano of the Orioles; and Emmanuel Clase of the Guardians were voted as relievers through player ballots. 

The five pitchers are Luis Castillo of the Seattle Mariners; Kevin Gausman of the Blue Jays; Kenley Jansen of the Boston Red Sox; Michael Lorenzen of the Detroit Tigers; and Framber Valdez of the Houston Astros. Salvador Perez of the Kansas City Royals and Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox are the two position players among MLB selections.

National League players are outfielder Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers, catcher Will Smith of the Los Angeles Dodgers; first baseman Matt Olson, second baseman Ozzie Albies and third baseman Austin Riley of the Atlanta Braves; shortstop Dansby Swanson of the Chicago Cubs; outfielders Lourdes Gurriel Jr. of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Nick Castellanos of the Philadelphia Phillies, Juan Soto of the San Diego Padres; and designated hitter Jorge Soler of the Miami Marlins.

NL pitchers include starters Zac Gallen of the Diamondbacks; Marcus Stroman of the Cubs; Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers; and Spencer Strider and Bryce Elder of the Braves.  Alexis Díaz of the Cincinnati Reds; Josh Hader of the Padres; and Camilo Doval of the San Francisco Giants are relievers who are All-Stars through the player ballot.

The four pitchers selected are Josiah Gray of the Washington Nationals; Mitch Keller of the Pittsburgh Pirates; Justin Steele of the Cubs; and Devin Williams of the Milwaukee Brewers. The two position players are Pete Alonso of the New York Mets and Elias Díaz of the Colorado Rockies.

Sling TV

Sling TV is another option to live stream the MLB All Star Game. But Sling TV only carries local stations in a small number of TV markets across the U.S.

Sling TV works on just about any streaming device: Roku, Firestick, Apple TV and even an Xbox. It is supported by Samsung Smart TVs and Smart TVs operating on Android TV or Google TV. Sling TV supports mobile apps for iOS and Android.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV carries more than 128 channels, including all the sports and local channels you need for streaming the All-Star Game and 2023 Home Run Derby.

The Premium package adds 40 more channels, and costs $84.99 per month. The Ultimate plan has more than 200 channels, and has all 45 Spanish-language channels.

Vidgo includes FOX Deportes in all of its channel plans.

How to Watch MLB All-Star Game for free

You can watch the MLB All-Star Game by signing up for a free trial of DIRECTV STREAM, fubo or YouTube TV. But a TV antenna is the best way to watch the MLB All Star Game for free. 

TV antennas can get you local ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and FOX stations if you live within range of broadcast towers. If you have a TV antenna handy, but haven’t used it in a while, plug it into your television’s coax port and scan for channels.
