Stream Atlanta live on FX without cable
The FX series Atlanta just wrapped Season 2 and it represents a high water mark for creator and star Donald Glover. Today I’m going to show you how to watch Atlanta online free without cable, and it’s completely legal.
Hulu with Live TV will currently let you stream all episodes of Atlanta on a Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV or Fire Stick. Hulu snagged exclusive rights to Atlanta, so it’s even the best way to stream Atlanta when Season 2 is no longer available on the FX Now app.
But I’ll break this down further so you know all your options.
There are two key services that you need to watch Season 1 and Season 2 of Atlanta. Hulu has the exclusive rights to Season 1 of Atlanta. You can binge all your episodes during a one-week free trial of Hulu if you don’t want Hulu’s Live TV product.
Then you can scoop up a free trial of a live TV streaming service that carries FX, the network that airs Atlanta, to watch Season 2 before Hulu picks up that season as well.
The season finale airs May 10, 10 p.m. ET on FX. You can watch all episodes of Season 2 when you use your Hulu with Live TV account to sign in to the FX NOW app. (At least for now.) Hulu with Live TV supports streaming on a Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV or Fire Stick.
But maybe you don’t want or need to get Season 1. So I’ll show you some other choices to stream FX live without cable, and options to sign in to the FX NOW app.
What’s Atlanta on FX about?
Atlanta tells the story of Paper Boi (Bryan Tyree Henry) an aspiring rapper; his best friend Darius (Lakeith Stanfield); his cousin and prospective manager Earn (Donald Glover), and Earn’s paramour and baby mama Van (Zazie Beetz).
Atlanta is an idiosyncratic half hour comedy where the writers, actors and director veer expertly from comedy to satire to melancholy and even horror.
Season 1 explored the misadventures of the crew struggling to make it. They mine equal humor from the mundane of trying to stretch insufficient dollars for a fancy date night and trying to get paid for a club appearance to the more abstract, particularly a satire of a PBS/BET style chat show complete with spoof commercials worthy of Saturday Night Live.
Season 2, subtitled Robbin Season (the colder months of Autumn that inevitably lead to the money crunch of the late holiday season), is darker, more uncertain, and eerily accurate to the Social Darwinism of Trump’s America.

The real prize of the show is the talent of the cast and crew. Glover, coming off a virtuosic SNL appearance and YouTube baiting music video premier (“This is America”) is poised to star as Lando Calrisian in the upcoming Solo.
Lakeith Stanfield had a key role in Get Out and is starring in buzzy indie Sorry to Bother You. Bryan Tyree Henry holds amazing gravity in Season 2 and had an Emmy nominated guest turn in This Is Us. Zazie Beetz is guest starring in the upcoming sequel to surprise hit Deadpool. Behind the camera, director Hiro Murai has done great work in HBO’s Barry, and partners with Steven Glover and Amy Seimetz to create a cinematic quality to Atlanta unrivaled in network television.
