Get a free month of FuboTV when you buy a new Roku
New Roku owners will be able to get a free month of fuboTV between now and July 8.
The sports-first live streaming service announced today that customers who buy and activate a new Roku streaming player or Roku TV will be offered one free month of fuboTV – a $44.99 value. The offer allows viewers to stream fuboTV’s line-up of local broadcasters, popular national channels and regional sports networks like NESN, YES Network and NBCSN.
Customers can buy a new Roku or Roku TV at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon to get their free month of fuboTV.
“fuboTV is the streaming service of choice to watch this summer’s marquee sporting events and hit new shows, and we are excited to showcase our unrivaled content offering to the highly engaged audience on the Roku platform,” said Min Kim, fuboTV’s vice president of business development.
Roku is known for partnering with a variety of streaming platforms, offering free trials for customers when they buy a new streaming device.
This is the first time that fuboTV has partnered with Roku on such a promotion.
With more than 30,000 premium sporting events per year, fuboTV says it has unrivaled sports content from the top professional and college leagues including baseball, basketball, hockey and football. fuboTV is among the few live TV streaming platforms to carry international soccer leagues and tournaments, as well as cycling, boxing and mixed martial arts.
fuboTV also recently struck a multi-year deal with AMC Networks, bringing AMC, IFC, BBC America and Sundance TV to its channel lineup. The platform already had a number of entertainment networks, including A&E, Viceland and HGTV. The announcement comes within the same week that a new Roku TV — the Series 6 from TCL hits the market.
fuboTV adds more FOX, CBS and NBC
fuboTV announced adding more local stations last week bringing its total to 276 across the U.S. These include stations owned and operated by or affiliated with CBS, FOX, NBC or The CW, plus access to FOX network programming in 40 additional local markets. Their locals include:
- FOX coverage in 90% of U.S. households. (135 markets total)
- NBC coverage in 73% of U.S. households. (77 markets total)
- CBS coverage in 69% of U.S. households. (72 markets total)
