SportsNet New York joins fuboTV channel lineup
fuboTV added SNY to its entry-level channel bundle at no additional cost just before Major League Baseball’s opening day.
SportsNet New York is the official television home of the New York Mets, Jets and all things New York sports.
With the addition of SNY, fuboTV becomes the only over-the-top provider that has all three New York regional sports networks (RSNs) in its base package.
“We are excited to team up with fuboTV and to have our Emmy award winning programming available to its subscribers,” said Steve Raab, president of SNY. “It is important for us to continue to enhance our offerings so that the sports fans we serve have choices and access to the teams and athletes they follow when they need it.”
For the 2018 season, SNY is the exclusive home of 127 live New York Mets games.
fuboTV representatives said on Wednesday that their aim is to give subscribers the most sports for the lease money. The Fubo Premier bundle offers a growing number of local TV stations, RSNs and national channels.
The channel lineup carries more than 30,000 sporting events per year and some of the most popular shows on television.
Following a free seven-day trial, Fubo Premier is available at $19.99 for the first month, and $44.99 per month thereafter, with no long-term contracts or set-top-boxes required. Personal cloud DVR and two simultaneous streams are included in this subscription, with options to upgrade with the Cloud DVR Plus or Family Share add-ons.
Beginning this week, fuboTV subscribers will also have authenticated, TV Everywhere access to SNY content through SNY.tv or the NBC Sports app by signing in with a fuboTV username and password.
When does the Mets game start on Opening Day?
The New York Mets host the St. Louis Cardinals at Citi Field on Thursday, March 29 at 1:10 p.m. ET. Opening Day coverage on SNY begins at 5:00 a.m., and runs before, during and after the match-up, with programming including classic Opening Day games, new documentary “Kid: A Gary Carter Story,” hours of pre- and post-game analysis, and wrapping up with the network’s daily GEICO SportsNite in its new 11:00 p.m. time slot.
Throughout the year, SportsNet New York also has hundreds of hours of exclusive programming featuring the New York Jets and UConn Huskies Men’s and Women’s basketball, as well as comprehensive coverage of the Tri-State area’s professional and collegiate sports teams.
YouTube TV announced on Twitter that SNY is being added to its channel lineup.
fuboTV can be streamed on desktop computers, mobile phones, tablets and TV connected devices including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast and Roku.
