Sundance Now’s Innocent debuts in March

Sundance Now’s newest scripted drama, “Innocent,” made its debut in the U.S. this week.

New episodes of the fast-paced U.K. thriller will stream weekly every Thursday until its conclusion April 12th. The limited series follows the character David Collins as he returns home from serving seven years in prison for murdering his wife. Sundance Now’s Innocent won critical acclaim when it debuted in the U.K.

When his conviction is overturned due to a technicality, Collins vows to find his wife’s killer. He regains custody of his children and moves in with his brother. But most of the world still views Collins as a killer and wants nothing to do with him.

Collins soon finds himself facing a new investigation that unveils dark secrets of abuse, affairs and money troubles. As a web of lies unmasks new potential suspects, fragile relationships are ripped apart at the seams. But one question remains: is David Collins truly innocent?

Collins sister-in-law and her husband appear suspicious once the story unfolds.

Lee Ingleby is known for starring in “The A word”. The four-part series also stars Angel Coulby, and Daniel Ryan, who plays Collins’ brother. “Innocent” is written by Chris Lang (“The Tunnel,” “Unforgotten”) and Matthew Arlidge (“Silent Witness”). The series is directed by Richard Clark (“Outlander”).
