Subscription-based platforms, Sundance Now and Shudder, added for free
AMC Networks announced today that five of its popular networks will be added to the entry-level fuboTV channel bundle.
AMC, BBC AMERICA, SUNDANCE TV, IFC and WE tv will be added to the Fubo Premier bundle in the coming weeks. Aside from the networks, two subscription based platforms – Sundance Now and Shudder – will be available to subscribers at no additional cost, a spokesperson for fuboTV confirmed.
Sundance Now and horror-themed Shudder each costs $4.99 per month for a standalone subscription.
The deal between fuboTV and AMC Networks will bring fuboTV subscribers access to some of TV’s most popular and critically-acclaimed shows, including AMC’s “The Walking Dead”, “Better Call Saul” and the upcoming series “The Terror”.
“We are excited to have AMC Networks – one of the industry’s most innovative and exciting media companies – as our newest strategic partner,” said fuboTV CFO Joel Armijo. “Not only will our subscribers soon have access to entertainment content that drives some of the biggest audiences on TV, we are also looking forward to building on our partnership in the days and weeks to come.”
As part of the agreement, fuboTV subscribers will also have access to AMC Networks content via video-on-demand, as well as the ability to use fuboTV credentials to log into AMC Networks TV Everywhere apps and websites.
BBC World News will later be made available to fuboTV subscribers as part of a pending premium package.
fuboTV said plans are underway to make AMC Premiere available for fans seeking an ad-free option for watching their favorite AMC shows. AMC Premiere will be available to subscribers of Fubo Premier, on an add-on basis.
fuboTV adds more CBS and FOX stations
fuboTV also announced this week that it added another 19 local CBS and FOX stations. That brings the total to 221 nationwide, including those owned and operated by or affiliated with CBS, FOX or NBC. The company also has brought access to FOX network programming in 45 additional local markets.
