Stranger Things Season 2: when its starts, cast members
A new trailer for Stranger Things Season 2 debuted online today – Friday, the 13th — giving eager fans a glimpse of what evils await in Hawkins, Indiana.
Stranger Things was a runaway hit for Netflix last year, channeling a heavy dose of ‘80s nostalgia with obvious nods to horror-master Stephen King, and director Stephen Spielberg.
For season 2, the monsters look bigger, suggesting that the story line could be slightly darker and more intense. The second season will have 9 episodes. And we’ll have to wait a whole 14 days to see what happens next. (Not that I’m counting.)
What is Stranger Things Season 2 release date?
Netflix confirmed that Season 2 of Stranger Things will drop on Friday, Oct. 27. That’s a few days earlier than the initial release date of Oct. 31.
How do I watch Stranger Things Season 2?
You would think that the answer would simply be: Stream it on Netflix. But you would be mistaken. The Duffer brothers told Vulture in a recent interview that they get pretty worked up with how bad the picture reception looks when they see Stranger Things on their friends’ places.
“The key thing is to turn off anything that says ‘motion,’ ” Matt Duffer told the magazine. “‘TruMotion.’ ‘Smooth motion.’ ”
Stranger Things 2 Cast
Now that Will Byers has returned from the Upside Down, I’m sure we will be seeing a lot more of him in Season 2. His mother Joyce – played by Winona Ryder – returns for the second season.
The rest of the boys are back as well. Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas and Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin. Wolfhard just starred in the latest movie adaptation of It, a Stephen King novel which was likely inspirational for the Duffer brothers.
There will be some new cast members, including a mysterious character called Roman (Linnea Berthelsen), and a 13-year-old girl named Max played by Sadie Sink. Her cocky stepbrother Billy is being played by Dacre Montgomery.
