How to live stream 2017 MLB All Star Game without cable

Live stream 2017 MLB All Star game online

The MLB All Star Game is expected to draw a larger-than-usual viewership because many players are making their first appearances.

Since Tuesday’s game is broadcast on FOX (8 P.M. ET), there are a number of good options for watching your favorite players without cable.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger and Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez are among the ranks for first timers. Seven players were also named Friday as replacements for those unable to play in the 88th Midsummer Classic.

With the game being held in Miami, it will be a special occasion for MLB star Tony Perez.

Back in 1967, he was an up-and-coming third baseman for the Cincinnati Reds, playing at his first MLB All Star game.

Perez is remembered for his home run during the 15th inning that won the 1967 All-Star Game. On Tuesday night, it will be the 50th anniversary since that memorable hit that made Perez a hero.

EPSN has a nice breakdown of the players. This guide gives you some quick tips to prepare for the game before players take the field.

fuboTV: How to watch MLB All Star game on FOX

fuboTV is a great option if you want (or need) to DVR the game because you’re working or not around.

The sports-first streaming platform is available in many markets across the U.S. fuboTV recently rolled out its Cloud DVR program which gives subscribers 10 slots to record games and shows. There is also a “lookback” feature which services as an on-demand option for sports games that happened in the last 72 hours.

My review of fuboTV has more details about their service. fuboTV is constantly expanding, but has some limitations. So it’s a good idea to check out its listing of Fox affiliates to make sure a channel is offered in your area.

fuboTV has about 64 channels under the Premier bundle, and recently picked up HGTV, Travel Channel and Food Network. For the last year, it has been broadening its channel lineup with A&E, History Channel and Viceland. fuboTV doesn’t have ESPN, but it does carry beIN Sports, a must-have for soccer fans.

Like DirecTV Now, you can also use your fuboTV subscription with the TV Everywhere app, Fox Sports Go, to watch the all star game. fuboTV works with all major streaming devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV and NVIDIA Shield TV, but you may be limited some on the mobile app.

Try out fuboTV with a 7-day free trial. You aren’t under any obligation to keep the service and can cancel online. Game for a longer commitment? You can check out their Premier channel bundle for $19.99 per month for the first two months as part of their 2017 Summer Sale

Sling TV: MLB All Star Game Live Stream

Sling TV is another option to live stream the MLB All Star Game on FOX, but be aware that the channel is only available in select markets.

Do a quick check of channel availability in your area to make sure FOX is available.

You will need to sign up for the “Sling Blue” channel package to make sure that you get FOX as a channel. The “Sling Blue” package costs $25 per month, and gives you channels like Bravo, FS1, FS2, National Geographic, FXX, BET and Viceland.

A Sling TV subscription that includes Fox also allows you to sign in and use the FOX Sports Go app. Sling has a free 7-day trial with no obligation.

If you are considering trying out Sling TV for a little longer, the company has a number of promotions worth a look. You can get a free Roku Express or a discount on a Roku Premiere+ or AirPlay TV + Adapter Bundle when you prepay for a two or three month subscription.

Stream the MLB All Star Game on PlayStation Vue

PlayStation Vue has been adding FOX affiliates in major markets like Denver and Seattle. But on July 7, Sony just increased the price on all channel bundles in most markets by $10 per month.

The entry-level channel bundle for PlayStation Vue is now $40, and FOX is only available in select markets. Overall, PlayStation Vue is a great product, but it’s not as great as it once was at a higher price. That said, you should definitely check out PlayStation Vue if it interests you. Read a comparison of PlayStation Vue vs Sling TV.

Sony offers a 5-day free trial and Vue works on nearly every streaming device. Streaming live TV outside of your home is limited, so you may want to look elsewhere if you need a mobile option.
