Pluto TV expansion includes partnership with major movie studios
Pluto TV vastly expanded its channel lineup as part of a new partnership that will supply movies and shows to 100+ channels.
The new pacts were struck with Lionsgate, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), and Warner Bros.
It will provide Pluto TV viewers with free access to movies such as MGM’s Silence of the Lambs and The Usual Suspects, and Lionsgate’s Haywire, Brothers, and Bad Boys.
“Today’s partnerships announcement, with some of the world’s foremost content providers, further establishes Pluto TV’s commitment to its viewers,” said Tom Ryan, CEO of Pluto TV. “Now our viewers can watch their favorite movies and TV shows, while continuing to discover unique and rare programming found on Pluto TV.”
New customization features

In case you haven’t been on Pluto TV in a while, I suggest you get on there today to check out some of its newer features. Last month, Pluto TV launched a brand new channel guide that can be customized from an app or on the web. You can edit channels, use your smartphone as a remote control, or connect Pluto TV to other devices in your home.
New movies and TV shows
The expansion in programs will include TV shows as well like Warner Bros.’s The Ben Stiller Show and Super Fun Night. Other titles will include MGM’s The Birdcage, Thelma & Louise, Mad Max, Dances With Wolves, and Lars and the Real Girl.
The new content will expand programming on popular Pluto TV channels like the ones listed below.
The Crime Network (ch. 504): focuses on everything crime-related
Horror 24/7 (ch. 709): showcases all things scary,
The Feed (ch. 301): covers the latest innovations in technology
Funny AF (ch. 250): a channel dedicated to comedy
Action Movies (ch. 704): highlights the best of car chases and explosions.
Pluto TV devices and availability
Viewers will be able to enjoy the new content on more than 100 channels of programming by accessing Pluto TV in the living room, or mobile devices or on a PC or Mac.
The free TV streaming service has support for Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Android TV, Chromecast, Smart TVs including Vizio, Hisense, and Sony, and gaming consoles such as PS4.
With mobile devices, Pluto TV has apps for iOS, Android, and Amazon. Pluto TV can also be streamed on a PC and Mac via the web at www.Pluto.TV.

The new partnerships include content from Lionsgate, Warner Bros., MGM, CNN Great Big Story, Hearst Entertainment, Al Jazeera Entertainment, The Orchard, Defy Media, Machinima, Studio71, Tastemade, and others.
These are in addition to content partnerships already in place with partners such as Fremantle, Endemol Shine International, Yahoo!, CNBC, Cheddar, and Mashable.
