David Gonos over at Sportsgrid has a pretty nice cost analysis on being a cord cutter and a sports fan, a combination that many cord-cutting-naysayers cite as an major obstacle to ditching traditional cable.
Sling TV and PlayStation Vue already offer very reasonably priced TV bundles with channels that broadcast NBA, NHL and MLB games. As Gonos points out, even subscribing to a limited streaming TV package and a few sports subscription services can be a better deal than traditional cable.
It’s all a matter of picking your spots, and negotiating the best deal possible for your Internet subscription.
With Hulu and YouTube expected to get into the live TV streaming business in 2017, more sports offerings will likely be coming into the mix at very competitive prices.
